Day trip : to Essaouira From Marrakech
Your day begins with an early pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech around 8:00 am, followed by a scenic drive across the vast Haouz plains towards the Atlantic coast. Along the way, you’ll pass through rolling argan tree forests, where you may spot goats perched on the branches, and stop at a women’s cooperative to see how the famous Moroccan argan oil is traditionally produced. By late morning, you’ll arrive in the charming seaside town of Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its whitewashed Medina, historic ramparts, and relaxed atmosphere. Once there, you’ll have time to wander the narrow alleys filled with artisan workshops, colorful souks, and art galleries, before exploring the bustling fishing port where boats unload their fresh catch of the day.

A highlight is the Skala de la Kasbah, a historic seafront fortress lined with old cannons and offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Around lunchtime, you can savor fresh seafood at one of the open-air grills or enjoy a meal at a cozy seaside restaurant.
